@pm_figueiredo This is so ridiculous! I don’t get why it is so difficult for this country to issue EADs to people entering the country legally! The US is the only civilized country I’m aware of doing such a fuss about work authorization!

@MartaCodeco This has been going on since after Obama. My spouse (a PhD holder btw) is not authorized to continue to work although he was authorized when I was a J1. I changed my visa type and he lost his EAD.
