🌊 A small win with big impact: over 10% of the world’s ocean is now protected. Progress is real, but with a 30% target by 2030, this is just the beginning. Enforcement is also key! The ocean sustains us. Time to step up. #OceanConservation Src: shorturl.at/1LmaD

Artemis II has successfully lifted off and is on its way to the Moon! It’s often compared to Apollo 8 but the contrast is striking. Apollo 8 achieved lunar orbit in 1968. Artemis II will only perform a flyby. but still a major step toward a sustained human return to deep space.

@MarkJCarney In the original 1948 partition plan for a two state solution, Jerusalem was a neutral, international city. Considering the city's importance to three major world religions, I think it's a shame this didn't happen.

I am disappointed with the decision by the Israeli police to prevent the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and the Christian Communities of the Holy Land from marking Palm Sunday at the Holy Sepulchre.    These actions further violate the longstanding status quo of Jerusalem’s Holy Sites. People of every faith in Jerusalem should be able to worship freely, fully, and without fear. I am pleased that President Herzog has contacted the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, to reaffirm this.

I had no idea there was a remastered version of the first Star Trek film. Small detail but the column on the right was cut short to add more shuttles. Not sure it makes sense but looks good. With the advent of AI, I wonder how many more films will undergo this treatment. #scifi

The UN Charter is the bedrock of the international system. Art. 2(4) prohibits the use of force and protects state sovereignty. Without it, we don’t have “rules-based order” but power politics. Interventions in Ukraine, Iran and Venezuela erode the system for everyone #IranWar

Recent events have shown that the flow of oil is still a decisive force driving the world economy. The Strait of Hormuz alone carries around 27% of global maritime oil trade. Once war started, volatility in energy prices was guaranteed. #IranWar

After numerous delays, I'm wondering if the Artemis II mission will really launch in early 2026 (March?). This would mark NASA’s first crewed lunar mission in over 50 years, with the aim of sending four astronauts on a trip around the Moon🌕 #Artemis #MoonMission

@philocato @GOP @DNC Basically the very same countries who helped set up the post WWII international order, have been the ones who undermine it the most. We've now gone from "rules for thee but not for me" to "the rules are whatever I say because I have a big stick...

On the occasion of Human Rights Day 2025, time to reflect on the dire human rights situation in many of the world's regions. The erosion of norms and standards must be reversed, and continue to strengthen enforcement mechanisms for legally binding treaties! #HumanRightsDay

Human Rights Day commemorates the anniversary of one of the world’s most groundbreaking global pledges: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a landmark document that enshrines the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being. #HumanRightsDay #UDHR

AI is redefining compliance. Automating routine checks, predicting risks, and empowering ethical decisions at scale. However, the human element will always be key to constantly monitor and ensure systems work as designed. Smart compliance = stronger trust.🤖 #AI #Compliance

Can a wind turbine be reimagined? I'm curious by just how much. Enel is offering €250,000 to designers worldwide to rethink the esthetic. Not just for function, but for beauty, sustainability, and harmony with nature. src: shorturl.at/QLlTw #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy
