@DaleJohnsonBBC Onfield mistakes were always likely to increase with VAR because the refs will subconsciously make less decisions knowing VAR is there if they make a huge error.

@danielstorey85 Its a very football response to the problem. Our LB is no good? Go find a better one and replace him. The referees are making mistakes? Go find better ones and replace them. Coaching & clarifying process is the only way this can be improved not by simply replacing the "problem"

I know people aren't ready to hear this, but there's a lot of "find better refs" about. Fine, but where? There's a chronic shortage in grassroots and worry about standards in EFL. Abuse crisis lower down means that it's simply not an attractive career choice.
