This morning we opened the new Polytrack surface at Ascot as part of the multi-million-dollar refurbishment of the training track facilities. The work included replacement of the old ProRide surface with a state-of-the-art Polytrack surface, an extension and resurfacing of the internal jog tracks and the creation of two new arenas. James Oldring, CEO of Perth Racing commented: “We are delighted to have completed the upgrades to the training tracks at Ascot on time, and on budget – a huge thank you to everyone involved, but a special thank you to Racing WA, for making this possible and to the trainers, jockeys and track work riders for their patience during the works. We are proud to have installed the world’s leading artificial surface, in use at training facilities and as a racing surface across Australia, at Ascot to offer trainers in WA access to the best possible training track, no matter what the weather. Polytrack is proven in a multitude of climates and is recognised as the safest and most consistent artificial surface available."
