A Northumbrian Reds flag in the away end last night 🤦🏻♂️
Absolutely embarrassing and you should be utterly ashamed of yourself being from the north east and supporting them 😡

I wanted to put my other post on first as that was the more serious issue to address but ive had a mare yesterday.
I know my flag is getting some grief online today 😬 but it also went missing after the game last night. It was still up on 92 minutes but gone once whistle went for full time, ive messaged the liaison officer at United and no joy and hoping someone has took it by mistake, it was made by the late great Barmy so it also has a sentimental value. If anyone has info please drop me a DM. Thank you. 🇾🇪🇾🇪

My thoughts on another circus act around @ManUtd seems to be at least one or 2 per month now 🙄 You’ve now got a manager publicly questioning young lads like Amass and Chido instead of protecting them(or at least doing some homework first), then you’ve got players clapping back or liking posts on social media, and fans split straight down the middle arguing over who’s right. Some backing the players, some backing the manager. For me, that’s not the real issue. The real issue is this club has completely lost its way. A properly run Manchester United doesn’t air this stuff in public. Young players should be shielded, not used as examples. Senior players shouldn’t be briefing or posting cryptic nonsense online either. All of it screams dysfunction. No standards, no leadership, no clear direction.
Managers will come and go, players will also come and go, but the constant is the chaos. Every few months it’s a new fallout, a new scapegoat, a new “reset”. We argue about individuals when the environment itself is broken. Fans arguing among themselves just shows how fractured things have become. We shouldn’t be choosing sides between players and manager — both should be pulling in the same direction. Right now it feels like everyone’s protecting themselves instead of the badge.
All I know is this: United shouldn’t look like this. Not publicly, not internally, not ever. Until there’s real leadership at the top, real accountability and a culture that puts the club first, we’ll keep having the same arguments with different names. And that’s the most depressing part of all.

English

So #ManUtd can you confirm that Luke Littler is eligible for away tickets or is it just the die hard fans who have spent their lives following mufc that you are banning? Is it one rule for us and another for celebs? Asking for a friend, Thanks.

@alanshearer We have no plan b when teams attack us we hammer them but when they sit back and play we ain’t got a clue
English

That was awful. No better 2nd half. Not one positive. Lazy. Leggy. Lethargic. Well done West Ham. #WHUNEW
English

That’s a bit misleading, to be honest. Fans only “donate” tickets because United threaten to take season tickets off people who don’t attend 16+ home games. Donating them back stops it counting as a missed game — it’s not really about charity, it’s about avoiding punishment. Charging fans full price then dictating attendance is wrong.
English

Our fans have now raised £2 million for @MU_Foundation through the season ticket donation scheme 👏

I’m making my @DartsWDF comeback for ONE competition only in 2026
Playing with my mate @theedgar501
Should we go big with a Dutch Open or an Isle of Man
Or should we go to a country I’ve haven’t been. Iceland tops the list
What do you think

A poem i wrote about our historic win in the #WorldCupOfStations
🏆 “Ashington – From the Pits to the Platform!” 🏆
From mines to millionaires, what a ride we’ve had,
From the Charltons to Harmison — not too bad!
Mark Wood’s steaming in with pace and flair,
While the rest of us just graft and swear.
The World Cup of Railways? We’ve only gone and won!
Ashington on top — now that’s some fun!
From coal dust faces to golden smiles,
We’ve grafted our way for miles and miles.
Not all made millions, some still pull their weight,
Keeping this town ticking, keeping it great.
From the lads on the tools to the lasses in the shops,
Ashington’s spirit never stops!
So raise a pint, give a cheer,
For the town that’s built on pride, not fear.
From the pit wheels turning to trains that fly —
It’s Ashington forever, till the day we die!

So i move to Barcelona where
1. Financial Mismanagement & Debt
Huge wage bill that outpaced revenues. Even before COVID, salaries and transfers had inflated, but the pandemic exposed how unsustainable it was.
Massive losses: e.g. large losses in 2019-21.
Debt burden (stadium projects, amortized transfer values, etc.).
2. Overhyped / Poor Transfers & Contract Deals
Signing big names for large fees or high salaries that did not deliver expected performance. Players whose contracts became burdens.
Problems with players refusing to move even when financially or strategically necessary. The Frenkie de Jong saga is cited.
3. Loss (or Degradation) of Squad Quality / Depth
As money problems grew, ability to retain top talent weakened. Messi’s departure was a symptom.
Dependence on aging players in some periods, or young players being overused / injuries piling up.
4. Structural / Infrastructure Challenges
The Espai Barça / Camp Nou renovation project has been delayed, plagued by cost overruns, contractor issues, labour complaints etc.
The timing, logistics, and financial implications of being away from Camp Nou (run matches elsewhere, loss of matchday income etc.).
5. Strategic & Managerial Instability
Changes in coaching, uncertain direction. Xavi’s exit, new managers, etc. It’s harder to build continuity.
Sometimes decisions appear short-term rather than long-term: chasing big names vs investing in sustainable progression.
6. Tactical / Defensive Weaknesses
Letting in goals at bad times; defensive lapses. E.g. vulnerabilities when games reach critical phases.
Lack of “Plan B” in many matches: when things go wrong, Barça sometimes struggle to adapt.
7. Reputation / Scandals
The Negreira case (payments related to referees), accusations of corruption / sports corruption.
Criticisms of management decisions — contract clauses, relations with players, etc. Some fans feel there’s lack of transparency or that sometimes reputational damage is done by off-pitch issues.
8. Dependency on Star Players & Youth Injuries
When key young players are injured or fatigued, performance drops sharply. Injury management / workload have been questioned.
9. Vulnerability in Big European Matches
Although domestically more consistent, Barcelona have often underperformed in Champions League / other European knockout games, especially vs top oppositions. Lack of composure under pressure in Europe is often cited.
10. Communication, Expectation & Fan Relations
Sometimes commitments / timelines have been overpromised (e.g. Camp Nou reopening dates) and then changed. This leads to frustration.
Fans and media often criticize decisions: signings, departures, strategic direction. There’s a sense among some that the club is trying to “look big” but under the surface many weaknesses persist.
