An interviewer asked me yesterday why we keep investing in Nova Scotia and in 🇨🇦. It’s simple. This province gave us a chance. We are building it forward.

We enjoyed our roundtable discussion with executives from @altotrain, Cadence, and JR Central🚄 at ALTO's headquarter in Montreal. We hope that Japan's high-speed rail experience and technology can contribute to a better Canada 🇨🇦.

Yes please. Sadly probably not likely for any number of reasons. I do wonder occasionally if the EU could do some sort of EU+ program for countries that want to be part of the club in some capacity but not full members.

France’s foreign minister Jean-Noël Barrot has floated the idea that Canada could one day join the European Union, using the transatlantic ally as a striking example of the bloc’s global appeal. politico.eu/article/canada…

Sharing this fundrazr request from one of my colleagues from grad school days. They are trying to evacuate her father (who has dementia) out of Tehran and to Canada where his three kids are. fundrazr.com/12hKob?ref=fb_…

Canada will not be bullied. Canada is not for taking. Not now. Not ever. We can trade globally and stand independently. We will do both. The True North will forever be Strong and Free. 🇨🇦🇨🇦

It has never before happened in NATO’s history that one country has plundered another ally, and this is indeed a case of plundering. — says former head of analysis at the Danish Defence Intelligence Service, Jacob Kaarsbo, in response to the news that the United States intends to increase espionage against Greenland. According to Kaarsbo, the issue goes beyond mere espionage. It involves both intelligence gathering and influence operations targeting Greenlandic society. —“If we’re not careful, it could end with American military forces on the streets of Nuuk to occupy strategic locations”, says Jacob Kaarsbo. How close are we to that scenario? —“Intelligence teams can also be used as advance units for military deployment. When I speak with former colleagues from the American military and intelligence services, they say we must not underestimate the situation”, Jacob Kaarsbo replies. Source: TV2 #StandWithGreenland 🇬🇱

Will never happen, never ever. What a liar. You don’t need Greenland for the security reason. It’s only about the minerals and oil. #StandwithGreenland 🇬🇱

Today is a very big day for two very important reasons: It’s HER Day. It’s Election Day. Happy Birthday to my amazing wife and partner in life and democracy, and the person who somehow make every day feel like a landslide victory. Love you @zidan_mila ❤️

A Positive Interference from Canada's North: Dear fellow Canadians, your voice matters! Whether you call the Arctic Circle home or dance with the Pacific tides, whether you wake to Atlantic sunrises or dream by Hudson Bay, whether you roam the windswept tundra or consider the Great Lakes waves your first love, whether you're under the spell of the Rockies or can't live without the earthy smell of Prairie lands, whether you live as far away as Old Crow in the Yukon or Happy Valley–Goose Bay in Labrador, or as close as having the CN Tower within walking distance — step forward and be counted. Let your choice ring clear across this beloved vast Canadian land, from the easternmost lights of Cape Spear to the mystical isles of Haida Gwaii. The future unfolds through your decisions, so raise your voice, choose anyone you like, but cast your vote today if you haven't yet, and help write the next chapter of our fascinating Canadian story. ~ Gurdeep
