@tangerinebean I am currently reading the Wolf Hall trilogy and I think it is mentioned as one of the early targets for dissolution.

Bolton Abbey was nice walk out. The ruins are from an Augustinian priory founded in 1154 and dissolved in the Reformation by Henry VIII. Scenic riverside routes around the estate too. Not a bad day out. 👌🏰😀
