🇩🇰 Denmark, a country that once won the European Champions despite not even qualifying for it. They have also produced some wonderful players over the years including Peter Schmeichel, Michael Laudrup, Brian Laudrup, Preben Elkjær, Christian Eriksen, and Kasper Schmeichel. Whilst @COPE continue to qualify for European competition, and Danish Football continues to grow at club level with plenty of current clubs still playing, as seen in the below map drawn by @RiccardoDAgnese , there have been quite a few Forgotten Football Clubs produced from the Scandinavian nation. Here are a few I have selected 🇩🇰👇 Jammerbugt FC Based in Pandrup (North Jutland), this club was founded as Blokhus FC in 2008 and later renamed. It reached the Danish 1st Division (second tier) but faced severe financial issues, including payment problems to players and creditors. It was declared bankrupt in August 2022 by the court in Hjørring and subsequently expelled from the Danish 2nd Division. FC Fyn (or Fyn FC) A club from the island of Funen that operated in the lower professional tiers but ultimately folded due to insolvency and structural challenges common in semi-pro Danish football. Kolding FC This club merged with Vejle Boldklub in 2011 to form Vejle Boldklub Kolding as a way to survive financial pressures. The merged entity later dissolved, with Vejle reverting to its original name and license, effectively ending Kolding FC as a standalone entity. FC Nordjylland A short-lived club from northern Denmark that existed briefly in the lower leagues before disappearing. #NeverForget

They play in the sixth-tier Københavnsserien, requiring a combination of ferry/road travel via 🇸🇪 - the southern tip of which lies between the island & Copenhagen.
