Dear Citizens of Nigeria, It is mental laziness to compare the minimum wage in America to that of Nigeria. A country's minimum wage has absolutely no bearing on petrol prices. It is like expecting Apple to sell iPhones cheaper in Nigeria because the minimum wage is lower there than in America. That is not how economics works. Economics does not concern itself with your emotions. The cost price of petrol is governed by how much it takes to refine crude oil, not by how much a nation's minimum wage is. The only way to reduce the price of petrol and make it lower than the cost price is by subsidising it. Other than that, it is not possible! But of course, it is easier to get emotional and insult than to engage in critical thinking.

I was busy taking pictures not knowing I was going to be profiled and might not travel to Qatar. After this picture, the immigration officer asked for my passport and asked for the purpose of my trip. Vacation, I said. He looks at me again and passes my passport to his colleague. The colleague looked at me and asked for my hotel bookings. I showed him. Asked the purpose of my trip,I told him it was for vacation and he asked for what my job was,I told him I was an AI Automation Engineer. (You wan dey say builder abi specialist?). He asked for my business card, and I remain grateful to God that I printed and carried some with me on that trip. He scanned the barcode on it and it took him to my social handles. He probably saw that my job reflected on my profiles. He then leaned over handing over my passport then he told me that a lot of people claim to be going for vacation but they go for trafficking in actual sense. Looking at me,do I even look like whose head will carry trafficking? I wasn't alone on this trip but I was singled out to spend about 30 minutes being questioned. I wasn't the youngest on that group trip but I was the one with the most petite size. In all,I'm grateful I was cleared to travel. I for really cry plenty.
