Today’s announcement of #Budget2025 includes a very modest increase to a limited number of PhD stipends. This does not cover the majority of PhDs in Ireland who are funded by other bodies or not funded at all, and it still leaves all PhD stipends below the minimum wage. 🧵1/4

Research from the RCSI and @ambercentre partnership with @IRFUCharTrust has developed an implant for spinal cord injuries. The 3-D scaffold conveys electrical signals at the injury site, potentially encouraging nerve cell repair. ➡️ rcsi.com/dublin/news-an… #RCSIdiscover
