I have never heard world leaders say "Lebanon should make peace with Israel." It's always the same pablum about "ceasefire" and "deescalation" that leaves Hezbollah untouched, placing faith in a UN mechanism that has proven a total failure. Why is that?

Netanyahu's criminal trial resumes on Sun. A region-wide ceasefire, incl in Lebanon, would hasten his jailing. If the U S. wishes to crater its economy by letting Netanyahu kill diplomacy, that would ultimately be its choice. We think that would be dumb but are prepared for it.

@SenMarkKelly We are not dealing with a normal regime here Senator, and you have no idea about it. This is not a normal war, the Islamic regime burns Iranians alive if they have to, their IRGC agents have been the reason for embassy attacks, terrorist and militia groups all around the world.

Threatening to target power plants and other non-military targets is not strength. If those words become orders to destroy civilian infrastructure with no valid military purpose, it’s hard to see how they would not violate the laws of armed conflict. America leads best with strength, discipline, and professionalism. Illegal orders to make civilians suffer would be a black mark on our military and our country.
