@P_R_Brannan saw your ceramics at the Made in ALX store. Wondering if you do any commission work?

Listening to feedback from staff on new resources we implement is important to how we evaluate their success, which is what I had the opportunity to do during my visit to @AbingdonGIFT where I listened to staff feedback on the new Fundations Structured Literacy Resource.

To appreciate teachers: Increase respect. Raise teacher salaries. And don't stop there, especially if we want to keep and expand the presence of BIPOC teachers in the profession—and everyone should want that!!! Credit @edu_post @CenterBlackEd Data from: e4e.org/teachersurvey

@Ingy2009 @ChristopherLM20 @CajunMSTeacher This is honestly what os wrong with parents. This sense of superiority is what makes our job as teachers so taxing. In stead of presuming positive intent and discussing the situation with your child from an objective point of view, you assume that the teacher has done something.

A student was absent Tuesday and returned to school yesterday. When she walked into my class I said, “Hey! We missed you yesterday.” Got called to the office today b/c the parent emailed saying I harassed their child by “grilling them about their absence.” WTF?! 🙄

APS will maintain our current universal mask requirement for students, staff and visitors. Masks are required to everyone in our schools and school buses. Our mask guidance is posted on our website.

Primary-grade person? This study was w/ grades 4 - 9, but the findings are consistent w/ a study I conducted in 1st-grade classrooms and w/ other early ed studies. On average, lower quality literacy ed provided to students from marginalized backgrounds.😡 edweek.org/teaching-learn…
