Mark Carney and Donald Trump are more similar than they might first appear.
On the surface Carneys this sophisticated, learned, internationalist, globalist banker, while Trumps an inward looking, rough , boisterous, intimidating, real estate magnate populist.
In terms policy they’re polar opposite- fossil fuel vs climate alarmist, globalist vs nationalist, power broker vs rules based.
But underneath they’re both as arrogant as hell, short fused, condescending, intellectually strait jacketed, doctrinaire, and in high need of being personally feted
Perhaps this why they don’t get along so well. They see each other in themselves

Much of Canada's wealth is owned by government workers. Taken from taxpayers for their own benefit
There are 3.3 million government workers who belong to the MAPLE 8 Pensions. Those pensions hold over $2 Trillion in assets.
Government employees have extracted this money from taxpayers for their own personal wealth in retirement
These funds earn profits over $150 Billion a year and pay no tax. Canadian taxpayers have to fund the taxes for the shortfalls not paid by government employees in their pensions
