@StephaniePille7 Global concern, not just British issue. FYI in Texas, just 9.6% of reported SA cases led to convictions. Nationally in US, 975 of 1,000 perpetrators walk free. Justice systems worldwide must do better.

This was part of Kiena’s note that she left on her phone: “I hope my life saves another by police services acting faster. Don’t let bullies live free. Make sure the person who is tortured is heard. Let them have a voice. I lost my voice to them.”

After the six-week trial apparently it transpired that Wellings' mother and girlfriend were both under police investigation for allegedly "coaching" him to give evidence.
