Today, I filed my budget for Fiscal Year 2027.  We’re protecting taxpayer dollars, controlling spending and maximizing every cent.   And unlike what’s happening in Washington, we’re protecting the core services people rely on.

Yesterday, Secretary Gorzkowicz was proud to stand with leaders from across Massachusetts as @MassGovernor launched the DRIVE Initiative to protect jobs, retain talent, and keep making groundbreaking, world-changing discoveries!

$8.6 billion in average annual federal funding for Massachusetts fuels discoveries that save lives and change the world. It also fuels our economy, and more than 81,000 jobs. With the DRIVE Initiative, @MassGovernor is protecting what makes Massachusetts the innovation state!

President Podell of @MassBayCommCol says it best: the #BRIGHTAct is “transformational.” With upgraded facilities and expanded opportunities, students like MassBay nursing grad Diana Cavazos will have the spaces that set them up for success in college and beyond.

When I took office, I promised to get after the issues you care about — and to do it in a way that takes care of your tax dollars. We cut costs and invested in housing, transportation, and education. Today I filed a balanced, responsible FY26 budget to build on our progress.

Massachusetts is the best place to live, work and learn because we invest in booming industries that tackle the world's biggest challenges. Today, I signed the Mass Leads Act to build on our life sciences leadership and position our state as a hub of climate innovation and AI.
