I took my talents to Walker today, subbing in 5th grade. Story elements, jump rope, and playing basketball. My Fridays are a constant reminder of why we do this work. ✌🏾 #BetterTogetherCCS #SubWithLove

@KatinaJ86960161 This tweet spoke directly to your situation this very day. Today was a day that was planned for a fun day out, but you had to cancel your plans for a mandatory engagement relating to work. The universe called you to a different stage related to your talent and skills. SHINE !!

Second semester Social Emotional Garden. Students were asked what is it that you need to make it through this semester? After drawing their flowers, insects and other items, they wrote what they needed and then placed in the garden. In our classroom we care about others.

My Civics classes had a little down time after testing today, so I showed them how to write their names in cursive. Some of them told me that they had never seen their name in cursive. They were eager to use this time to learn how to practice writing in cursive Civics.

@MassenburgEdith You're welcome! Although they came to you, they bought a community experience which allowed your students to think about possibilities outside the classroom, especially if they are interested in pursuing a career in public service. Just a different perspective.

Our school had the pleasure of having First Lady Northam and Delegate Roslyn Tyler (75th) district visit our Civics class today. Our students asked excellent questions. The students and staff appreciated them taking the time to speak to our students.
