@RossDellenger The line of credit is only $30M, which has to be repaid with interest? How would that help the Big 12 close a "gap" when the P2 schools make $30M more per year?

Big 12 has approved its private capital deal with RedBird Capital - the first such arrangement from a major NCAA conference. Schools have a choice to opt in for ~$30M in capital and league gets at least a $12.5M infusion as part of a strategic partnership bit.ly/4n3CTnp

@JWMediaDC Thanks for the reply. I predict we will see a clear money gap between the ACC and the B12 when they report 2024-2025 revenue pretty soon.

To be honest I really don't know. I really doubt it but never say never right

@JWMediaDC Very good. And I agree. I think the ACC may lose a maximum of four schools. Given the money advantage over the B12, do you think there is a chance that the ACC would poach the B12 schools? That has been my prediction.

@MasterJ00938008 @JWMediaDC Why would any B12 schools want to go to a collapsing ACC when they are already in a very stable Big12 conference that has the best basketball 🏀 teams, great football 🏈 & baseball ⚾️ teams. Plus, B12 commissioner rocks

@JWMediaDC I think it's likely UConn gets a call from the ACC or the B12 before 2030.

The Big 12's last spot will come down to three schools that don't deserve it equally. - NC State brings actual TV ratings and growth. - Pitt brings "rivalry potential." - UConn brings basketball, market, and desperation. Guess which one gets picked.

@Fight_On_usc6 It may continue for a few more years but I think season ending games at USC will stop.

This is absolutely PERFECT timing for USC to announce they are ending the Notre Dame series

@TalkinACCSports I think a 2-7-7 model would work the best. Let every school have two primary rivals and play a 2-7-7 schedule, except for UNC and NC State, which will have three primary rivals and play 10 conference games every other year.

@TalkinACCSports The real issue is whether ESPN would pay more for a 9th game. That was a real reason behind the SEC’s move. If ESPN won’t pay, your 8-2 format is fine. But if ESPN would increase payments by even $1 million per school for a 9th game, the ACC should go for it.

@JWMediaDC Jim, just curious. Does TCU have any chance at the B10? The B10 is the only power conference that doesn’t have a presence in Texas.

Without getting political the problem with BYU to the Big 10 probably revolves around the ability schedule events to accommodate BYU and their student athletes who are devout to their religion. Now in fairness you can say the same thing about Notre Dame but Notre Dame's just different. I'm not saying it's fair I'm simply stating a reason why other conferences have not taken advantage of having BYU as a member because for sure they have an international following. I've always thought to BYU had value to any conference that they were invited to and I think it was a smart move by the Big 12 to add them
ClutchCityCoog (The Voice of Houston)@htownsportsnow

@JWMediaDC You’d think Big10 would want BYU over Utah. A lot larger footprint
