Yo why is everyone and their families blaming Phreak for 99% of the balance problems league has? You guys do realize he isn't the one behind any of these changes ? - Caitlyn was arguably the weakest ADC in the entire game for most of the year so the balance team buffed her 4 patches in a row. High elo players STILL wouldn't want to play her and she still kept losing most of her games. - xFSN Saber is the first one to use the popular assassin lethality build and people didn't give it a shot and kept going crit and bring her win rate down. Also, when Saber was using the build his teammates would give up super early even in champselect "cait shit champ just ff pick meta adc or I int" even though almost every game was winnable and caitlyn was beyond useful. - Riot buffed all lethality items (for assassin mains) so it indirectly buffed the sleeper lethality Caitlyn Build. A build people still wouldn't try back then because people are very sheep driven and will never try anything "non meta" even if it might be the next new meta. - Jinx got buffed by August. Jinx used to be able to stack her attack speed passive but it was removed in Season 8. It was re-added in Season 13, this patch. Jinx got attack speed buffs in-between and items/runes are very different now so they'll need to tune it a bit I imagine. - Phreak stated this in his dev videos that he asked to work on non-adc balance when he first joined the team, but the team decided to give him the role of helping with adc balance because he has ALOT of experience with it. Too many of you guys have this crazy narrative that phreak joined the balance team then demanded to work on ADC and is constantly buffing the role 24/7. It's fine to feel frustrated because both of these are examples of extremely non-interactive gameplay. But chill out on the copium. go watch his videos to learn about the perspective from game designer and how he's navigating it. There's like 100+ of game dev talk. He's not perfect, he's doing a good job, he'll have mistakes he has to learn from, but he's always willing to listen to feedback from players and try to help the game as a whole. If you guys keep this harassment shit up we're going back to the days where riot game devs just perma ignore us.
