I can share these design sheets that @Masterj2001 commissioned me to do for his Blender modelling Tutorial series. He wanted a GEN3 Mark VI more in line with earlier concept designs for Halo Infinite had. You can also use these to model your own as you follow him along.

@chromaspring Not at all, I actually love seeing people approach these changes outside of Blender. 😁 I just do them in Blender as that’s what I know, but the rest of the broader 3D community is obviously more than welcome to participate! 😁

Does it have to be Blender because it'd be way easier in Houdini. Add sop with 3 points and connect > Resample and create curveu > Sweep with Twist scaled by u > Mirror > Fuse > Done Probably even faster with vex but quaternions are terrifying

@alfredshimray Oh that’s very clever! I didn’t know the array modifier could be used like that in tandem with the curve modifier! 😁

@visk3D Great stuff! 😄 I need to get better with thinking and using simple deform modifiers. 😅 You've made great use of them here though, love the solution. 😄

@Masterj2001 I took a very simple approach using simple deform modifiers, joined the three pieces with a weld modifier and added a couple of edge loops here and there, and finally used a bevel, subdivision surface and a metal bsdf material

@pixelfondue Very cool! 😄 Can't say I understand what's going on, but the fact that it's a procedural setup is amazingly impressive!

@Tioaoa2 This is very clever! Quite similar in some ways to my approach, but I think this is a far more efficient way of doing things! 😄 So is the round setting within the curve rounding out the corner of the curve? Can't say I've seen or used that before.

@killso310 The theme is outstanding, you'd almost mistake it for 3DS Max. 😂 But in all seriousness, this is a great solution! Not quite sure how it works, given my lack of understanding of modelling outside of Blender, but I love seeing these challenges being done in other software!
