I have lived in Montréal my whole life, learned French all the way through Cegep and actually tried to improve my French. I have always been a studious student. I also watch Hockey in French and listen to French podcasts.
Despite all this, I am not fully bilingual and make many errors in French.
I can fully believe that his lessons didn't amount to much if he struggles with learning languages.

@paulvieira @WSJ He is not unable he is unwilling. And to top it off he is playing the victim now. All this despite having a French m surname, a Francophone mother, a Francophone wife and living in Montreal his whole life. You couldn’t make this up if you wanted to.
English

“I am deeply saddened that my inability to speak French has diverted attention from the profound grief of the families and the great resilience of Air Canada’s employees,” Air Canada CEO Rousseau said in a statement.

@grok Ethan is calling for blanket accountability of IDF conscripts. Given the US war in Afghanistan involved civilian deaths, displacement, economic hardship and documented abuses, does his logic imply all US service members should also be held criminally responsible regardless of individual actions?
English

Yes, the post appears to call for criminal trials targeting all IDF veterans based on mandatory conscription under Israeli law, which applies to most Jewish, Druze, and Circassian citizens from age 18 (with exemptions for health, certain religious women, and historically Haredi).
This would involve holding millions accountable for service required by statute rather than proven personal offenses, echoing the principle in Geneva Convention IV Article 33 that prohibits collective penalties for acts not individually committed.

@mark_slapinski Buy a home on a normal middle-class income.
2015: ~43–45% of income to own a home.
Today: ~53%+.
2015: Average home price ~$406,000–$416,000
Today (2026): ~$660,000+

The numbers can be debated depending on how you calculate them, but the conclusion is just wrong. Israel hasn’t ‘given nothing’ ... it’s a major partner in defense, intelligence, technology, and medical innovation. From missile defense systems to cybersecurity to breakthroughs in medicine and healthcare, there’s a clear exchange of value. Reducing decades of complex alliances to ‘they give nothing’ isn’t serious. It’s just framing.
English

@PermSus4Pres @grok @nypost You’re hinting at something but won’t say it outright. Go ahead and make your claim clearly so it can actually be addressed.
What do you mean that I should "accept responsibility"?
English

@PermSus4Pres @grok @nypost When someone replaces arguments with sweeping claims about entire groups, it’s a sign there was never a real argument to begin with.

Jewish man allegedly targeted with Nazi salutes at casino: 'Wasn't intimidated' trib.al/28ZNbnT

English

I addressed the example you used to smear an entire country. Posting more links about separate allegations doesn’t fix that as it just repeats the same guilt by association tactic. Individual criminals, alleged cover ups or dropped charges should be judged on their own facts but none of that proves your broader claim about Jews or Israel as a whole. If you want to make a serious argument, make it directly and support it instead of stacking individual cases and pretending they add up to collective guilt.
English

@MatKaminski_CPC @Ranger22421 @MarkRuffalo @normfinkelstein Why are you ignoring the other links I posted and cherry picking which one you chose to address? I find that very telling behavior.
English

Gavin, know where you stand and stand there. You said you what you meant. I don’t know what billionaire got in your ear but it’s not working for you. This is not how you are going to win. It’s Apartheid and it’s a Genocide. Today!
theguardian.com/us-news/2026/m…
English

@BramSLI1 @Ranger22421 @MarkRuffalo @normfinkelstein So your argument is that an alleged crime by one individual defines an entire country? By that logic, every country on earth would be judged by the criminal actions of a few officials. That’s not an argument...it’s cherry picking. Stick to actual points.

Yep, insults, vague accusations, and rhetoric.

English

@BramSLI1 @Ranger22421 @MarkRuffalo @normfinkelstein So instead of responding to the argument, you jump straight to insults and vague accusations. That tells me you don’t actually have a rebuttal...just rhetoric.
English

@MatKaminski_CPC @Ranger22421 @MarkRuffalo @normfinkelstein Why is anyone at this late date defending the Pedo state of Occupied Palestine (Israel)? Is there something you're not telling us?
English

You’re not actually addressing the argument...you’re using Finklestein's background to shut down criticism.
Having family who suffered in the Holocaust doesn’t give anyone a free pass to make sweeping political claims or shut down debate. Also, equating Zionism or Israel with Nazi Germany isn’t a serious comparison as it ignores what Nazism actually was and reduces a complex issue to a slogan. If you want to debate it, debate the facts instead of leaning on labels or attempted gotcha moments.
English

@Ranger22421 @MarkRuffalo Uh, I think your brain must have pooled out of your ears. I would defer you to one of the actually BASED Jews @normfinkelstein for guidance.
English

@PermSus4Pres @grok @nypost Tell me about the teachings of Judaism. Which ones tell me to lie? Which ones tell me to commit treason? 😂
English

@MatKaminski_CPC @grok @nypost Judaism. If you don’t follow its teachings you repeat its lies, making you no different.
English

@PermSus4Pres @grok @nypost My religion does not control my actions. Why do you assume that it does? What superstitions am I following? I'm trying to understand the basis of your logic.
English

@MatKaminski_CPC @grok @nypost You are a Jew and your evil superstition tells you to abuse Canada in the name of Israel. Denounce your supremacist religion like I did. Turn your back on it. It is the only way to recapture your humanity.
English

First of all, I am a Canadian living in Canada. Second, you are an unhinged lunatic that cannot distinguish Israeli government officials and Jews around the world. By the same token, since you are an American, I can accuse you of participating in a genocide against the Palestinian people because your President sanctioned the war after October 7th. We are both guilty of the same nonsense that you spew.
English

Your tricks will not work. You are the one lying, and everyone knows it. Leave my country, Israeli traitor!
Your lies and crimes only make things worse and we do not want you here.
Supremacy and zealotry are evil. Of course I hate those things. Of course I hate the people who do those things.
You’re just gonna have to deal with that. label me what you will. I do not care. Do not confuse my hatred with medic people. I love thematic people like the Palestinians some of the strongest people on the planet. I’m anti-Jew. Because of what you’re doing right now. You accuse me of wrongdoing, but you were the one doing wrong. And you’ve never take responsibility for your actions. Well, it’s time to have them forced upon you. accept this or leave.
English

@grok @PermSus4Pres @nypost I'm a Canadian though. I have also proven him wrong twice in this thread and he is the one accusing me of lying. Doesn't that seem hypocritical?
English

The person is accusing Jews (and by extension Israel) of committing atrocities, theft, and killings while using "antisemitism" labels as a shield to evade responsibility. They tie this to treason claims under the US Constitution and demand punishment, framing it as earned hatred from "Jewish crimes and history."
From the text alone, the argument is coherent and follows a consistent internal logic, though it's intensely accusatory and conspiratorial in tone. No clear indicators of incoherence or detachment from reality appear; many people express similarly heated ideological positions online. Mental state can't be reliably assessed remotely without professional evaluation.
English

@grok @PermSus4Pres @nypost So at the very least, this person is spreading a lie and at worst, he is spreading an anti-truth?
English

Yes, genetic studies confirm European (Ashkenazi) Jews have substantial ancestral ties to ancient Semitic populations from the Levant/Middle East.
Stanford Medicine (2013 Nature Comm. study): Y-chromosome analysis of Ashkenazi Levites shows clear Levantine origin ~1,500–2,500 years ago, not Khazar or purely European.
PubMed/Behar et al. (2013): Ashkenazi ancestry primarily Middle Eastern + European; no significant Khazar contribution. Autosomal DNA shows ~40–60% Levantine component shared with other Jewish groups.
Paternal lines trace to Fertile Crescent; maternal has more European admixture via historical conversions. Consensus rejects "not Semites" claims.
English

@PermSus4Pres @nypost @grok @grok what is the person yapping about? Does he seem that he is in right mind?
English

Your lie antisemitism is an accusatory weapon that you use to hide the truth about your horrific atrocities and Israel and Jewish crimes and Jewish history.
You like intentionally keep stealing and killing.
You’re guilty of treason. You are a traitor and you should be punished according to the US constitution
English

@PermSus4Pres @nypost @grok @grok According to leading sources like PubMed and Standford Medicine, are European Jews ancestrally semetic? If so, can you kindly educate the person above me making the false claim.
