Ik this says unpopular opinion but it really has to be said that Paul is significantly better than even a lot of the rivals in the games. I love that he straight up did win most of their encounters, and lost to the one Pokémon that he discarded as worthless. Peak character

1. What importance does Giovanni serve to Ash? They’ve only interacted once, maybe twice in the entire anime

the ending of Ash's story did not feel natural at all. The final series in general was mostly nostalgia pandering with zero subtlety, and at times the anime felt more like a product than a show because of it he never even beat Giovanni. Genuinely think about it.

What I find interesting about the first 5 Pixar movies is each one was essentially a tech demo for computer graphics at the time.
Toy Story was to show you could even make a computer animated movie
A Bugs Life was to show you could have hundreds of individual models on screen
Monsters Inc. Was to showcase fur and hair physics
Finding Nemo was to showcase underwater effects and motion.

What’s wild about Toy Story being the first full length CGI movie is it could’ve been an outdated mess like a lot of firsts are but not only is it not a mess, it’s one of the greatest animated movies ever made.
