I can't let this pass either. Please look into how many films now on physical media or streaming via Criterion, Flicker Alley, and others were either MoMA restorations or restored using elements from MoMA's archives. I should know, I've contributed to such releases.

They may physically preserve a print or reel, and/or restore these; but they then purposefully restrict accessibility to patrons, even with permission. Why?
