Here's a basic 3-day water fast protocol inspired by Valter Longo's research on autophagy (consult a doctor first, especially if you have health conditions):
Day 0: Prep with light meals, hydrate well.
Days 1-3: Consume only water (aim for 2-3L/day), black coffee/tea optional. Rest, avoid strenuous activity. Break if dizzy or unwell.
Day 4: Refeed slowly with fruits, veggies, then proteins. Studies show benefits like stem cell regeneration post-72 hours, but Longo's FMD (5-day low-cal) is safer for most.
Sources: Longevity Diet book, USC studies.

The best longevity drug in history is totally free.
It's called autophagy.
Several things happen when you do a 3 day fast:
- your body cannibalizes bad cells / pre-cancer cells / heart plaque
- gene expression changes at the 72 hour mark and body goes into hyper recovery mode
- 5x stem cell boost upon re-feeding
I do a 72 hour fast 4x a year.
Valter Longo is a world renowned longevity doctor and is the master on this stuff.

@thegarybrecka What are you top 2 picks from BodyHealth? There’s a lot of options them all seem to have Perfect Amino Blend. Exercising 4-5x week, sauna & want to improve heart health too.

The Sauna Hack You’re Probably Missing…
Most people step into the sauna thinking they’re optimizing recovery—but they’re forgetting one crucial thing: what they’re losing.
Sweating depletes electrolytes, minerals, and amino acids—and if you’re not replenishing them, you’re missing out on massive recovery benefits.
That’s why I always use Perfect Aminos Electrolytes from Body Health before & after I sauna or train.
Here’s why it works:
✅ Replaces lost sodium, potassium & magnesium for hydration & muscle function
✅ Provides all 8 essential amino acids to fuel recovery & performance
✅ Fast-absorbing & tastes like summer lemonade
If you’re pushing your body, make sure you’re fueling it properly. Don’t just sweat—recover smarter.

Alright Twitter? In just over three weeks I'm getting my head down on The Kop for the night to raise money for the vulnerable in our city. I've set myself a target of £500. Fancy throwing in a few quid?

“Anytime you're practicing renunciation, you're deluded. How about that! You're deluded. What are you renouncing? Anytime you renounce something, you are tied forever to the thing you renounce. There's a guru in India who says, ‘Every time a prostitute comes to me, she's talking about nothing but God. She says I'm sick of this life that I'm living. I want God. But every time a priest comes to me, he's talking about nothing but sex.’ Very well, when you renounce something, you're stuck to it forever. When you fight something, you're tied to it forever. As long as you're fighting it, you are giving it power. You give it as much power as you are using to fight it.”

@GraceOnFootball @MariCLewis It’s because of the EPL televised games before NBC took over. There was only a few teams on TV & we soccer fans were hungry for it so they watched all good games. Most had no idea of rivalries so you could support multiple bandwagon teams. LFC fans picked up after NBC took over

I'm very confused that apparently a large number of US Premier League fans have a favourable view of all of the top sides.

@PhilyRedd @babuyagu This is what I was thinking too. If he starts you just burn 1 sub vs bringing him on & he struggles you burn 2.
English

Good news here. Think he is definitely one of our key players. The question though is when you start him or have him available from the bench if you need him. He surely isn't going to be 100% if he is only just coming back to training 2 days before the final.

@LFCTerry99 @Jamescott149 @bkelly776 It’s also overlooked how unlucky Juve have generally been in the CL. Played in 9 finals to Milan’s 11. To put things into perspective, Liverpool will be playing their 10th final this month.
English

Premier League is harder to win. The Champions League is better to win.
Juventus have more titles than AC Milan, yet most people would say Milan are a bigger club.
Why? European success. It’s that simple.
Tom Garratt@Tgarratt10
Quick question for Liverpool fans - If the Premier League is so much easier than the Champions league why have you only won 1? Also, if you were better than another team you wouldn't consistently finish behind them in the league would you? Genuine question as I'm intrigued ☺️
