Hey @Desmos, is there a way to assign an activity to a class but not have it appear in Google Classroom right away. I like to prepare for my week but not have all assignments posted at once.

Best laid plans only as good as the tech in the hands of students. Spent the first virtual week with internet and computer issues. Hard to collaborate while being kicked out of Zoom. How can we expect low end equipment to do high tech? #frustrated #21century

@MichelleLeighD1 @fawnpnguyen I feel the same as you do in that last sentence. It feels like we have to prove that we are actually working. I worked for free all summer. I work well beyond the school day now. I have put my health at risk. What more do they want?

Even if you verify a number can’t be written as a ratio of numbers under a trillion, that’s good evidence, but not enough to prove it. The need to move from “pretty sure” to “certain” is what motivates a large amount of mathematical work, and made me want to be a mathematician.

Right now is obviously a tough time for education. So when @NMSI asked me to make a free math lesson, I was more than happy to. They let me pick whatever hs topic I wanted. I chose rational and irrational numbers. Check out the video here: youtu.be/YY7Ea7HTzZ4
