If the proposal to increase the seats is to be implemented, constitutional provisions which limit the strength of the Lok Sabha( 550) and Assemblies (500) need to be amended. For the Lok Sabha, Article 81 is to be amended, and for Assemblies, Article 170 will need to be changed.
