@dantencer Think we get 93 with LA and Anaheim loses 1 to Minn. I think if we win, worst case we're third If ANA wins both of those (ie. Do we have tiebreaker over LA?).

Incredibly tough couple of losses for Ingram to eat. He’s playing great. That bodes very well for Edmonton.

The only way the oilers can miss the playoffs is if they lose out their remaining 2 games while Winnipeg wins out their remaining 4 games

Oilers are beating both the Avs and Canucks in their final two games , so I'm not at all worried

This is all fair but I’d probably still blame more of this on Bowman than Knoblauch. We’ll discuss tomorrow morning on the show.

@PeteKadar @TalkeyHockey I wouldn't call it giving up on skinner, it was certainly time for a change but shouldn't have been at the expense for Jarry at no salary retained imo

@MathewVanDusen @TalkeyHockey Why did Edmonton give up on Skinner and choose Jarry. Jarry is a headcase and he has been pulled demoted, called back benched waived demoted and pulled. None of those decisions elevated his game.

Sending Jarry down is honestly a win win for the oilers , you bring up Calvin Pickard who is loved more than anyone in that room by the guys and you hope that Jarry builds some confidence down in the farm , just "in case" you need him in playoffs

Even if Edmonton loses tonight, you cannot be mad with them going 2-2 on this gauntlet of a road trip. If they win tonight and are able to get 6 out of 8 points, I would be ecstatic.

Might be a hot take, but I absolutely think the NHL should adopt the NBA playoff format. Have a weekend of play-in games for the 7-10 seeds in each conference, and then 1 v 8, 2 v 7, etc. I think the play-in format is unreal, and would make for some unreal hockey.
