Here lies Bricolage Grotesque, a cultural and typographical Frankenstein’s monster. A free and open source variable font with British and French influence. Take it apart and build it again. ateliertriay.github.io/bricolage/

🎧 6/6 While developing Orbit, I've been introduced to dozens of new artists, and it's become my go-to for fresh tunes when “the algorithm” feels stale. I’m excited to hear what other music fans think!

5/6 ⏳ You can sample any number of tracks, but you can only reveal 5 tracks a day. This isn’t to limit discovery but to value your time and make each track count. Find what you like, then listen on your preferred streaming service and get on with your day.

@Ayoolafelix It depends what you want to achieve of course, but I find that I spend less time programming for fonts than I do drawing them. So a good drawing software such as @glyphsapp is essential and there are a few plugins (RMX, Speedpunk, Kern-On) which are essential for large families.

Looking for Polish-speaking people help ! We have a font with all polish alphabet letters EXCEPT the Z with stroke Ƶ (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z_with_st…). Given it is an allographic variant of Z and Ż, is it necessary to have it ? or can we write polish without ever using the Ƶ ?

I recently ran a tabletop roleplaying campaign for the first time since I was a teen dork. Got me thinking about the differences between TTRPGs and videogames, and how dice engender trust. A ramble! youtu.be/U2gD1UvkE2c Takes me a minute to remember how to speak.

@gray I have the IDÅSEN and used it daily for the last ~2 years with no issue. Not the cheapest but only one that went high enough for me.

@mwichary Thank you! I have but not entirely sure if it’s my version but it looks better than the free traced version floating around so it’s possible :)

The @BBCRD team have been researching how to engender social connection in remote workspaces. Here's a quick run through of their latest findings, using videos of their @liveblocks-based collaborative working environment, Colab 👇
Liveblocks@liveblocks

Liveblocks has been used for research into asynchronous social connection by @BBC. @BBCRD created a collaborative working environment using Liveblocks to discover how teams foster a sense of togetherness while working remotely. A must-read. rig.rd.labs.bbc/offices-asynch…

Last year we at @BBCRD worked on Remote Interaction Guidelines and made a game to test our patterns. We've now made a collaborative working environment for teams using @liveblocks & @livekitted and learnt a few things about asynchronous togetherness... 1/5🧵

5/5 We'd really like to see these patterns in use so if you're a team thinking of using them, get in touch!

4/5 Our initial findings showed sharing a digital space improves the feeling of togetherness. However we had introduce what we call "shared history" to make this work asynchronously. It's inspired by how offices work and you can read more on the website rig.rd.labs.bbc/offices-asynch…
