Thinking of launching a new scientific journal focussing on failed studies that wasted hundred thousand $ of research funding and decades of works for nothing, except to break research careers. Will be named: "Hell Reports".

Manuscript reporting impossible protein purification should be submitted to "Molecular Hell". While studies on model organism for which there is absolutely no genetic or molecular tools available are welcome to "Developmental Hell".

Ok, some observations about #SfN24 from someone who used to come every year for ~15 years but has not attended in ~10y. 1) lots of empty poster boards 2) lots of empty booths 3) way less presentations from non-US schools 4) much less basic discovery science

Publish or perish (or quit)? Weird study indeed. Science does exist outside publishing!
