@sarahwizzle87 @TheGreenParty Ok. But don't buy and electric car, tablet, mobile phone or use any electricity generated by wind power. That way, you can feel morally absolved of all guilt.

Struggling to work in the heat? The government needs to listen to the Climate Change Committee and TUC who are calling for a maximum workplace temperature cap.

@Statick777 @TheGreenParty All very good points. e.g. Spain: in winter, schools open at 8 and work til 6 and do Saturday mornings but in summer only work 8 til 12 and take a 3 months holiday. Is that the sort of thing you'd be open to?

@MathsMyles @TheGreenParty but of course - the standard Brit attitude is that the way we do things must never change, even when the circumstances and the situations change, we must always doggedly, blindly stick to the way we've always done things. and this is why this country is moving backwards

@sarahwizzle87 @TheGreenParty Who mentioned child slaves? I didn't. Kids in African mines aren't necessarily slaves. They work to help feed their families. No, it's not right. But it got you the Neodymium & Praseodymium that's in your electric car motor, so in a way you're supporting it.

@Statick777 @TheGreenParty I hope so. But the evidence is that the planet will not support our standard of living for 10 billion people. That's going to present challenges. So acting like a princess who cannot work because it's hot needs to be put in perspective.

@ajhuxlee @TheGreenParty And if we don't sort something out, like people going to work when it's hot so they pay taxes, then one day we won't have a healthcare system.

@mattinthekelp If it's all CO2, please explain why Roman Britain, (1st to 4th century AD) was as warm or warmer than it is now. Or did the Historians just get it wrong?

@williamnhutton Earth can viably support around 10 billion people. However, with the western life style everyone seems to aspire to that estimate drops to 2-3 billion. Is this the choice? Live like they do in the third world or allow the population to fall to be able to sustain western living.

After a day like this, only fools think burning fossil fuels for any longer than is necessary makes sense. The much derided Ed Miliband is right: his critics ultimately enemies of life on earth. news.sky.com/story/weather-…

@PeterStefanovi2 Do you understand the word "net"? Do you understand that this could be a really bad thing? It rather depends who left and who arrived.

Nigel Farage really is a one trick pony. His divisive and inflammatory comments about immigration is all he has. Is it any wonder we won’t want you to know that net migration has fallen by 82% since its peak under the conservatives and small boat crossings are down by approximately 40% so far in 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. LETS MAKE SURE THE PUBLIC KNOW THE REAL FACTS
Peter Stefanovic@PeterStefanovi2

🚨DESPITE NET MIGRATION HAVING FALLEN BY 82% SINCE ITS PEAK NEARLY HALF OF BRITONS INCORRECTLY BELIEVE ITS ACTUALLY INCREASED! Politicians have now been blamed for skewing the public's understanding of immigration levels. This is a shocking indictment of the abject failure of UK news shows to get the actual facts about net migration across to the public and call out the bull**** by the likes of Nigel Farage. If UK news shows can’t get the job done let’s damn well do it ourselves!

@bphillipsonMP My school is literally falling down. It has no sports hall or drama studio. Half our classrooms are mobiles. We are making staff redundant. Our last P8=0.71. But can we get any funding for a build? No. Of course not.

Labour is opening up access to subjects that have been the preserve of a privileged few for too long. We're investing in school sport & overhauling the system to end the postcode lottery. Levelling the playing field, so every child can achieve & thrive. gov.uk/government/new…

@Block305_LFC If you want to control rent, build lots council houses, maintain them to a high standard and keep rent affordable. Market forces will force private landlords to do the same. Energy: abandon net zero. Drill for oil & gas. Build nuclear power stations.

@MathsMyles Genuine question, but in regards to mortgages or rent, what do you think the government should do? Same with energy? Make sure it’s tangible…

Net migration down 82%. Net migration is now at 171,000, down from a high of 944,000 under the Conservatives. This Government is restoring order and control to our borders.

So... If you’re not working and claiming Universal Credit your family can get almost FREE entry to a range of parks and tourist attractions. If you’re working and struggling with bills Rachel will give you a bit of VAT off days out and kids’ meals. Unfair!
