To win a pack of Prime Colours, Find at least 2 of the years and the two numbers in the sum. Reply to the right post and I'll send cards to the first 2 people to get correct responses. Happy new year!!

Can you work out what all these years are and also what the 2 squared numbers in this sum (which equals 2025) are?

@hassshoots 9) you should also stop if your card trial gets to the centre of your 5x5 grid.

@hassshoots 6) keep going in this way, putting cards that you don't recall correctly to the end of the trail and turning cards over to the number side when you do get them right

@hassshoots 3) starting from the top right I try to guess or recall the number of the card. If I don't get it right, I put it at the end of the trail of cards

@staceymaths 😄 Sounds like you have instilled the belief that they are all maths people. Hopefully they will dismiss that extra bit of information (as usually it's the we're all maths people line that's dismissed) I usually say some people have a natural interest in numbers

~teaching angelic year 7s~ Me: “[older student] is just naturally good with numbers]” Year 7s: “wait some people are naturally good at maths???!” Pros: they believed me when I told them ‘You are all maths people’ Cons: I have just ruined this. Oops.

The general theory: What must be true about a graph with edges labeled with inequality signs so that the nodes can be labeled with distinct real numbers that respect the inequalities between adjacent nodes?
