Section 48 of the OHA forbids conducting archeological field work without a permit or the removal of any artifact or physical evidence of past human activity.

We recently heard @AwesomeOttawa is rewarding the "Digging Dudes" who metal detect and dig up artifacts in Ontario. This is prohibited under the Ontario Heritage Act. @OntArchSoc @APA_Ontario @ExploreON
