Today, April 22 is Stephen Lawrence Day.🖤 33 years ago in 1993, Stephen at just 18 years was stabbed to death in a racist attack in Eltham, south east London. 🙏🏾 Today, we reflect on this death but more importantly we stand with his family and the Stephen Lawrence foundation to help build in his name for future generations. As @sldayfdn have stated, this years theme is Every Future Needs a Foundation - to support young people and their ambitions. @CoachDebs_spa @RDowman Not being funny but as someone who coached/played at that level. There is a huge difference in being a part of a journey and being part of a team that witnessed his journey. The mere fact his dad has asked him multiple times to stop claiming he was part of his journey says it all

@RDowman Any member of coaching staff at young ages played a part whether assistant or not - from positive feedback to coaching. Deciding to promote to older age group earlier …. These coaches that ‘put out the cones’ all have a voice and a say on your child’s development.

Listening to this guy Temisan Williams claiming he was any part of Max’s journey is a really a sad piece of attempted self promotion. I have asked him previously to refrain from doing so but still he pops up on Talk Sport this morning…I remember him putting the cones out at training a few times but that’s about it. We have so many fabulous coaches who we are so grateful to. He is certainly not one of them……

People can look at different games all they want, but this game, was the game that Modern Arsenal arrived. The manager and players changed the outlook of the club, the attitude, the belief started the journey under George. Was and is one of the biggest games in the last 40yrs imo. The away end was and remains an amazing memory

@atimafc You're absolutely correct. It's all good having players that beat the press, but being able to make that pass is the difference

@MatryxPhoto Yep and that ability is natural. Very hard to coach at the elite level. Very few players can pop passes off with 1/2. Xhaka and Zinchenko were much-maligned for us but we are missing both's passing through lines.

Let's talk pass progression shall we?

@atimafc No arguments there... We never should've let him go. He breaks the lines so much with his passing. Declan can break the lines so can zubi but they're both apprehensive about doing it. That's why Kai/eze at times struggle because the pass never comes, if it does they play forward

@MatryxPhoto He's one of the best around at it. And can do it in 1 or 2 touch which elevates him.
