Footsteps rang out down the corridors and cell doors clanged open. Led out of his cell, he joined 29 other Resistance prisoners who were led to waiting trucks. 1/6

10 November 1929 | A Czech Jewish woman, Helga Hošková-Weissová, was born in Prague. Deported from #Theresienstadt ghetto to #Auschwitz in Oct 1944. Her father was murdered in a gas chamber. Helga & her mother were moved to Freiberg & liberated in Mauthausen. Today she turns 95. Happy birthday!

16 October 1908 | A Czech Jewish woman, Liselotta Weinfeldová, was born in Plzeň. She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt ghetto on 19 October 1944. She did not survive.

14 October 1935 | A French Jewish girl, Simone Gelbert, was born in Paris. In July 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber.

14 October 1938 | A French Jewish boy, Serge Max Borstcher, was born in Paris. In August 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and after the selection murdered in a gas chamber.

25 August 1872 | A Czech Jew, Arnošt Weissbarth, was born in Bílé Podolí. A doctor. Deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt ghetto on 15 May 1944. He was registered in 'Theresienstadt family camp’ in Birkenau. He did not survive.

14 August 1898 | A Czech Jewish woman, Olga Vogelová, was born in Klatovy. She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt Ghetto on 6 September 1943. She did not survive.

28 July 1940 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Joseph Bremer, was born in Rotterdam. In September 1943 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber.

17 July 1864 | A, Italian Jewish woman, Clotilde Nissim (nee Levi), was born. She arrived in #Auschwitz on 6 February 1944 in a transport of 700 Jews deported from Milan and Verona. She was among 572 of them murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
