See, the problem here is that you’re trying to gatekeep what is and is not assault (“true victims”). It’s the same BS idiots pull with “real Americans” or “true Christians” or many other things. Nobody asked you to draw that line. (Actually, the line is being parroted from shitbag men who want to continue being shitbags and doing shitbag things like whipping out their duck in front of unsuspecting women.)
Evan Barker@evanwch

I have two childhood friends (they were siblings) who were killed because a man high on drugs broke into their home to sexually assault them That’s why I care about this so much When casual claims of sexual assault are thrown around, when the word “survivor” and “abuser” is misused, it is bad for true victims, and it is bad for society Yes, that includes innocent men, too

LOL. Students, universities, and taxpayers would continue to fund the vast majority of college athletics, including lavish 6- and 7-figure salaries for coaches and admin who don’t actually deliver any ROI on that money. Seriously — invoking students and taxpayers given how athletics was funded pre-NLI is some of the dumbest and/or most disingenuous tripe this account tweets.
NIL 𝘯𝘰𝘵 NLI@NILnotNLI

Hey, what would happen if there were no such thing as fake NIL or NCAA athlete revenue-sharing? Before you answer this hypothetical: • Any program caught paying under the table would trigger automatic postseason ineligibility for all the school's teams. • The NBA & NFL would not be changing their draft eligibility rules. • No viable minor league would suddenly rise up to fill the void. Would college sports end? Would they no longer be fun? Would the Championship tournaments lose their magic? The answer is: No, life would go on. And more importantly, the industry would stop holding students, universities and taxpayers financially hostage. Now, the certain self-serving grifters in the college sports landscape would love to try to continue brainwashing you into believing that if you don't fork over millions to unproven kids, the NCAA world would implode. The fact is that it wouldn't. College students who participate in certain sports would still be deified on campus. They would still receive a world-class experience for absolutely free. And, they'd still be able to pursue millions in legitimate, market-driven NIL. So, those certain self-serving grifters would still get their cut. And the games would go on.

I’m a guy, and I’m not “terrified” of approaching women. And most normal men I know aren’t either. Why? Because we aren’t stupid and entitled enough to be weird little creeps. We don’t whip our ducks out and demand sex, we don’t send unsolicited explicit photos, we don’t have dipshit opinions about women, we don’t get pissy when women say “no”. It’s not fucking hard, really. I work with women, some my age, some younger. It’s crazy, I know, but they’re all comfortable around me because I’m friendly and treat them as equals/people, not fucking objects. And simping for shitty men just makes the problems for those shitty men worse, btw.
Evan Barker@evanwch

These women are on a witch hunt against Swalwell- now it’s for simply FLIRTING with them. This is where we are at as a society. This is why men are terrified to even approach women nowadays. This is why the birth rate has fallen below replacement levels. It’s madness

@evanwch @K_Sayzz @KaosnEffect Kinda feels like this would also be the response if he did, in fact, rape her because “she deserved it” somehow. Guess I could be wrong but 🤷‍♂️

I’m no Eric Swalwell fan- but if you give your boss oral sex and then later get drunk and have sex with him and regret it, that’s not sexual assault. That is you making bad decisions and then trying to rewrite the story later to make yourself feel better

So, I guess Clinton was the real victim in Lewinsky-gate, then? 🙄 Really, this is just playing semantics. If the accusations are true, even if one does not define them as “sexual assault”, the actions by Swalwell absolutely, unequivocally display a demeanor and decision-making ability that has no business in the governor’s mansion. Seriously…a boss, who is old enough (or very nearly so) to be his employee’s father, whips out his dong and asks for a sexual favor while that barely-adult woman is actively doing her job. What kind of fucking weirdo creep does that? When the dynamic is employer-employee, the employee is barely old enough to drink, and the employer is powerful and wealthy, the entire concept of “consent” breaks down. It may not be “assault” per se, but it’s plainly wrong (particularly when you introduce alcohol to things). If she had pursued him, it would still have been on him to rebuff it, but MAYBE it would be different. But that’s not what is being said here, and there’s a clear pattern of behavior in the allegations. Defending Swalwell here is….why???

Fun fact: Alabama started and ended the 1990 season by losing to QBs selected back-to-back in the 1991 NFL Draft. Nagle was the 34th pick. Alabama also lost to the 33rd pick — Brett Favre — at home in Stallings’ debut as HC.

If you’re not familiar with that Fiesta Bowl, you’ve gotta look into it. That was a wild game. Louisville played Alabama, who was in its first year under Gene Stallings. The Tide had started 0-3, then won 7 of 8 including a win over a ranked Auburn team and a win at #3 Tennessee. Alabama wasn’t even supposed to be there; they only took the bid when other teams turned down the game over the MLK Day controversy in Arizona at the time. Louisville boat raced Alabama. They scored 4 TDs in the first quarter, shutout Alabama’s offense, and held that offense under 200 yards while Nagle threw for 450. Louisville was led by Howard Schmellenberger, who worked alongside Stallings under Bear Bryant at Alabama in the early 1960s. That was their first bowl appearance in nearly 15 years and first bowl win in more than 30.

Sad news: Former Jets QB Browning Nagle has passed away after a cancer battle, per reports. He was 57. A second-round pick in ‘91, following a huge Fiesta Bowl performance for @LouisvilleFB. Started the ‘92 season for the #Jets. A nice guy. Fun loving. One of the best arms I’ve ever seen.

I don’t know about other late Xers, but watching The Day After was every bit as traumatic as the Challenger disaster or the death of Optimus Prime.
