If the Chiefs released Rashee Rice, they would save $1.56 million in 2026 base salary (it is not guaranteed). They would still have a $430,000 cap hit from his prorated signing bonus. That said, I have no reason to believe the Chiefs are considering such an action.

The plot thickens. Rashee Rice expected to be sideline until training camp due to a clean-up procedure on his right knee. Now apparently 30 days of his recovery will be done in jail.
