At Cana, Mary points to her Son and says: “Do whatever he tells you.” Jesus, the One who miraculously provided the wine for the wedding feast, is the same Lord who fills the void, emptiness and longings in our lives, if only we do whatever he tells us!

One day we'll see the big picture. One day we'll see how this puzzle’s put together, how it all works out. But until then, let's rejoice. Let's remember the Lord is near. And let's express confidence in our God because we trust His plan.

More than ever, our church and world need holy families who pray and worship together; who love, respect, and forgive one another; and who live together in peace. With the help of Mary and Joseph and the grace of their Son, strive daily to be a happy and holy family.

“Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord.” Only in relationship with him do we find the true peace, genuine freedom, and lasting joy for which we are searching. May these precious gifts be yours at Christmas and always.

He who finds Jesus finds a rare treasure, indeed, a good above every good, whereas he who loses Him loses more than the whole world. The man who lives without Jesus is the poorest of the poor, whereas no one is so rich as the man who lives in His grace.

Mary chose to surrender her will to God. She trusted his plan, even though she knew little about it. That trust changed her life, and ours. Let us also begin each day with these simple words to God: "May it be done to me according to your word." Then watch God change us! #Advent

Pray to God for the gift you truly need at Christmas, maybe: physical or emotional healing, freedom from distress, peace within your family, and grace to live faithfully, prayerfully, and joyfully. Be confident in the angel’s promise: “Nothing will be impossible for God.”

We must welcome truth even if it reproaches and inconveniences us -- even if it appears in the place where we thought it could not be found.

We do not have one word from St. Joseph in the Bible. He was a man of action and faithfully responded in obedience and trust to God’s holy will and divine plan. With his help, renew your “yes” to the promises you have made to the Lord and let your actions do the speaking!

Saint John of the Cross: “In the twilight of life, God will not judge us on our earthly possessions and human success, but rather on how much we have loved.” At this time of year, may we remember the best gift we can give to others – our unconditional love!

Always commit your cause to God. He will dispose of it rightly in good time. Await His ordering of it and it will be to your advantage.

Jesus has asked us to go love the most vulnerable people, to protect them, to care for them, to do whatever we can to fight for them.

In 1921, an anti-clerical activist hid a bomb containing 29 sticks of dynamite in a pot of roses and placed it before the image inside the Basilica at Guadalupe.When the bomb exploded, the marble altar rail and windows shattered. But the tilma and its case remained fully intact.

A beautiful description of this amazing almost 500 year old image that converted a nation. Our Lady of Guadalupe pray for us.
