@BRamseyKSR The Chandler news sucks but I agree with you. A rebuild while still keeping Williams and Moreno can still be successful.

I posted this on KSBoard a few days after Kentucky’s NCAA Tournament loss. The ‘Cats retained Moreno & Williams. It appears that they will be losing Chandler. I’m MORE than ready for a rebuild. There was a LOT of work to be done regardless. No departure was going to “hurt.”

@KySportsRadio I’m shocked. I can’t imagine anyone paying that much for him. Granted I don’t know the amount he asked for but come on. He was maybe the third best player on a team that struggled to stay in the top 30. I still think he comes back though.

A second Kentucky assistant coach is officially OUT for next season. Coach Brooks III’s contract was not renewed.

Coach Will Wade is heading back to LSU! Definitely an interesting situation to say the least. Coach McMahon is still, technically, the Tigers’ head coach as they wait out the clock until 4/1. This all feels a little shady even as it plays out in plain sight.

There are just FIVE teams in College Basketball this season that have 5+ KenPom Top 20 wins and only 1 (or fewer) loss outside of the KenPom Top 40. As you would expect, Arizona/Duke/Michigan are three. Then you have...Arkansas and KENTUCKY.

@Kybballking @BRamseyKSR He’ll get a third year. There is no way he is fired after this season. I agree about the injuries making both years difficult, especially this year. He does deserve a chance to prove what he can do with a full healthy roster. Year three of Pope is coming and I’m rooting for him.

The way that Kentucky so consistently comes back from large deficits & makes games interesting late, even against teams as elite as Florida, shows that URGENCY is part of their problem. They clearly don’t quit, but something flips when games sort of become “over” and that’s bad.

@StreetRenegade I’m all in favor of giving him another year. No, I’m not happy with the results in year two. Not at all. That being said, I think they did ok considering the injuries this year. I believe they would’ve won at least 3-5 more games, maybe even more, if they had the full roster

By the way, I still believe everything I said in this KSBoard thread. This team has proven they don't compete well with Top 20 teams. Getting EMBARRASSED at Vanderbilt was disappointing, but losing should shock nobody. Per usual, I'm not overreacting. Let's go compete Saturday.

Per Synergy, Ole Miss ranks third nationally in isolation possessions. Guarding one-on-one and staying disciplined to the personnel scouting report will be key in this one for the 'Cats. If you can stay between them and the basket and take away the spot up 3's it SHOULD be a W.
