Benidorm, Spain 🇪🇸

Some way to travel to an away game, that… 😮💨

Aston Villa were outside the relegation zone on goal difference when Steven Gerrard left in October of 2022. Unai Emery has since got them into the UEFA Conference, taking them to the semi-finals and finishing 4th to qualify for the Champions League the following year. From there, he guided them through the league phase and into the UCL QF’s, where they were only narrowly beaten by PSG across two legs. Now, they’ve locked in European football for a third straight year with two games to spare and still have a legitimate chance of making it back to back years in the Champions League. Unai Emery boasts a record of 70 wins in just 131 matches in the dugout, the best ratio of any Aston Villa manager in the club’s history. The job he’s done there has been truly transformational.
