THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER (Netflix): I missed this when it bowed due to hip surgery, but this is a case of delayed gratification. Scary, involving, with writing that's witty and moves the plot. There's a case to be made for Mike Flanagan being the Quentin Tarantino of horror.

@Bryanthe_BA Nicole is fantastic and she is absolutely teed up by Tom being an incredible match. He is playing at her level and then some. He is why Sunset works.

@finianhackett Thought the same thing when I saw it in person! She's fantastic in it but the moment feels sort of ovation-grabby to me. Although I guess that's sort of Norma of her and maybe I just explained it to myself and became okay with it in real time? That was crazy.

@TomHoefWrites @katereinking The Jeff Awards in Chicago do genderless for both AEA and non-union ceremonies. They award two winners and stats have shown the gender distribution of winners is about the same as when the awards were gendered.

@katereinking Genderless award categories = fewer winners, unless they find another way to divide awards up. Revivals & originals? Comedy & drama? Best Performer in a Revival of a Musical, Best Performer in a Musical Comedy…

Yesterday I helped my son puke on the side of the road and it felt good and like I fit perfectly into the universe and was doing exactly what I was meant to be doing and never for a moment did people who don't have kids enter into my brain. Why are we being so weird...
