There is absolutely a dream scenario where California’s top two ends up being Republicans Steve Hilton & Chad Bianco. What’s interesting is Gavin Newsom is already publicly floating a “break the glass” plan if Democrats get locked out of the governor’s race. Californians have every reason to be skeptical of @GavinNewsom statement because of how he abused his emergency powers during lockdowns.

1 Timothy 5:8, a man who fails to provide for his relatives, especially his own household, is considered to have denied the faith and is described as worse than an unbeliever. He is teaching his children a perversion of servant leadership. You serve by leading not by sacrificing duty. Their children will see boss babe Christianity not a rightly ordered household. Many women were gifted throughout history. Never do men sacrifice order and duty for their wife to pursue a dream.

Before you clap… This woman’s husband stepped away from his career to be a full time stay-at-home-dad to their three children so his wife could pursue singing. Shameful. Christian feminism is nasty because it hides the perversion behind a sanitized Christian front.

@virgilwalker Adultery-only divorce. It’s that easy. And if one spouse forgives adultery of the other spouse, they can change their mind and divorce their spouse at any time if they feel the adultery is unrepentant.

@AdamPage85 How many megachurches have you been to? How many of the pastors do you know?

I think megachurches don’t preach line by line because they want every single sermon to be a streaming banger filled with social media friendly sound bytes. I would lovingly warn against that if it’s the reason. I’m sure it’s a combo of that and the time it takes to faithfully exposition-ally preach the text. As a word of encouragement, minutes after preaching Judges 15, I do believe it’s worth it. Tackle the text, trust the Lord, and do your best, brother pastors.

The age of “Buddy Pastor” is over. The Scriptures don’t teach it. The people don’t want it. And, as it turns out, it doesn’t work. Your pastor shouldn’t be your buddy, he should be your shepherd.
