In the end, the government may have to rush in to support both municipal and high yield bond markets. A failure of either market could set off a domino effect of catastrophic proportions.

What is ironic Is that corporate "high yield bonds," often referred to as "junk," and which are not faring well at this time, may actually survive and bounce back faster than the muni market, which is considered the gold standard of bonds held in many individual portfolios.

It is early in the ballgame, but at some point even the safest of investments -- state and local municipal bonds -- will start to deteriorate in value.

8/ Again this is just a potential occurrence right now, so keep an eye out for things as they develop.

7/ And as for the financial markets, while any potential move such as this might cause a substantial drop temporarily, if and when the rate of infection levels off, the markets will roar back.

1/ I have little time to post as I am at a hospital with my mother who suffered a stroke. However this is one post I need to make. You need to prepare now for a potential (and I stress potential) nationwide lockdown.

There's still a possibility Bloomberg may lead in one or two states on Super Tuesday... but basically he's toast. So much money, so few voters. Expect Sanders and Biden to dominate.

Don’t get me wrong, this downturn has a pretty long time to go, but just like in the financial crisis, buying into even a major correction ultimately make you money. Oh, and I want strong dividend stocks when I start buying.

You have to believe the markets and good companies will never get back to where they were not to dip your toe in the water at some point.

And later I’ll be buying the very best companies that have been hit with supply chain issues with China (such as Apple), but not until analysts start to downgrade them, which should be soon.

No one wants to catch a falling knife but...here is what I will be doing with my cash. I will soon start to dollar average into great stocks that have been swept down in this correction. #Finance #coronavirus #stocks #WallStreet

I did not expect the market to lift today. Now, we have new reports of the #coronavirus developing in other areas of the US. Market futures are down by hundreds of points and this can be expected to continue with ups and downs over the next month at the very least.

Here is a link to an article discussing "N95" respirators. These are special masks designed to filter out between 95% and 99% of exposure to "droplets" that can lead to infection. I recommend this only if there's a local outbreak in the future. cnet.com/how-to/which-f…

Drug & hardware stores (even vendors on Amazon) are selling out of facemasks today, as hysteria over a likely outbreak of coronavirus in the U.S. spreads faster than the disease itself. I do not believe there should be this much worry over masks. #CoronaVirusUpdates #coronavirus
