@MicahStevensWx @MattVining1 @ryanvaughan The individuals sections are pretty light if they aren’t full of water. When I lived on the coast and had big wind storms regularly, we would put giant tires on top of the pit, but if the wind is strong enough and blows the right way, there is almost nothing to be done.

@MicahStevensWx @ryanvaughan they are indeed not light. I had two 100lb concrete weights on the front of one of them and they went for a ride with it.

We can and need to do better with the livestream @NCAATrackField This crew could make a world record seem boring. The field events aren’t covered for more than 10 secs. There are so many good examples around the world of how to do it. Let’s try harder

It can be the best thing to fail. It gives you a chance to shake from your comfort zone and back into a determined drive. Excuses will betray that chance. Taking no accountability will also betray it. Fail, then get to work making sure it doesn’t happen anytime soon

I would love to see the @NCAA be a U25 competition in track and field and cross country. I think @USTFCCCA needs to take the lead and we as coaches need to work to get professional athletes in their mid-20s out of the system.

Elementary sport is meant to intro skills, teach work ethic and encourage teamwork. Parents, coaches and orgs that push for "win now, win at all costs" at that age are doing damage to the kids. Be smart, encourage development and please let them wait to train like adult athletes
