day 28 of building in public just crossed €1k gross revenue on Stripe 5 months of building. 575 users, 34 paying (so a 6% conversion which is... not great). MRR at €300 the moment things shifted was when I killed the free plan and added a hard paywall. before that, almost zero conversions but I'm still not sure it's the right call long-term. give a bit for free? nothing until they pay? freemium with limits? curious how others approached this :)

@matt__makes I'm mostly around devtools and coding-agent workflows. Finding customers on Reddit for founders is a neat angle - glad to connect with this crowd.

@matt__makes tunnel vision is so real. sometimes I'll show my app to someone and they'll point out something obvious I've been blind to for weeks. fresh eyes > everything

this weekend I decided to spend a bit of time improving LeadsRover's UI 🎨 no drastic change, just small details that can make the app more pleasant to use: - added a user avatar to make each row different - removed 3 buttons next to each other and placed them in a menu - reduced clutter by removing some information/badges that were not bringing much value the hardest thing when it comes to UX/UI is the tunnel mode. I've been spending hours in the app every day and it becomes difficult to take a step back and see obvious issues :)

Last week, while sitting by the pool on vacation, I came up with an idea: Sentia It came from something I've experienced myself: wondering whether I'm overthinking a message or misunderstanding someone's intentions. So I decided to start building. Let's see where this goes 🚀

🚀 Pit’s Pick of the Week - LeadsRover.io LeadsRover helps users find and organize leads without turning the experience into a bloated all-in-one platform. The best tools don’t always do more. Sometimes they just help you move faster.

onboarding is the most important thing you'll build, and the hardest, because there's no single right version a power user wants the details up front. show them too little and they bounce a first-timer wants one clear path. show them everything and they drown same product, opposite onboarding. most apps pick one and lose the other. how does everyone solve this?

@Thomas_Tao_1 to be honest I’m now trying the strategy to give them 3 options and let them answer with just a number haha

@matt__makes Yep. The hard part is having something precise to ask when those 3 reply. I've been burned by vague questions. Fast follow-up usually gets the real insight.

"talk to your users" is the most repeated advice to founders what nobody says is that most won't open the email, and the ones who do won't reply it’s fair, they're busy running their own thing the goal isn't getting everyone to answer, it's making the 3 who do answer count

@ogbuildsapps @X some subreddits allow soft promotion, but mainly the core loop for my app is around DMs, they almost don’t get monitored and you convert way better when talking to people 1:1 than when posting public comments :)

@matt__makes @X how do you navigate getting banned from subreddits? a lot of mods are very untrusting to sells

Bravo Cyrielle. Super débat grâce à vous.
