Had another call with a creative strategist friend yesterday. Last one was about bulk execution. This one was about how the product feels once you're inside it.
Three things she wanted to see:
1) Search creatives by tag, style, audience, and have the tags derive themselves from the analysis we already run. All automatic - no manual tagging.
2) A creative lineage view that looks like a family tree. Which ad spawned which variant. Which winning brief came from which losing test. The story of how a creative evolved, visible at a glance.
3) Site speed has to be excellent. At this stage, performance is brand.
I'm starting to get a feeling this product's USP could just be a faster an easier to use offering than other competitors

We lost $500K on Meta ads blaming Andromeda.
One of our clients spent roughly $1,000,000 in an ad account and performance tanked. We thought Andromeda or GEM was messing it up.
We changed everything. Different scripts. Different videos. Different layouts. We thought our creative diversity was off because the text layouts looked similar, the videos felt repetitive, the content seemed recycled.
Nothing worked.
We even used an AI tool that analyzed the account and told us creative diversity was the reason. So we kept changing creatives.
Still nothing.
Then I actually looked at the funnel. Not the ads. The funnel.
Turns out Andromeda was not the reason. The AI tool was completely useless at finding the problem.
We had been A/B testing a new funnel for two months. The moment we brought the old funnel back, the numbers returned to normal.
Here is what I learned:
Most marketers will assume their ads are bad when performance drops. They will blame Andromeda, blame the creative, blame the algorithm.
But sometimes the ads are fine. The funnel is broken.
AI tools can tell you what changed. They cannot tell you why it matters. You still have to look at the data yourself and understand what is actually happening.
This kind of problem solving is something AI will not be able to solve, at least in the near future.
Use AI tools to make better ads. Use them to test faster. But make sure there is always human involvement to actually figure things out.
Experience is not something these AI tools can replace.
