There wouldn't be much tax to pay as the majority of the sovereign grant is used to pay for around 3,200 Royal engagements each year and maintenance to the palaces.

@micawbergray @adflaz @khalifa_zak @piersmorgan No, the UK government. The crown estate is managed by an independent organisation and every year the profits are paid to the Treasury. The monarchy is paid 15% of the profits in the form of a Sovereign Grant. The UK taxpayer gets a good deal!

By the way, that doesn't even include tourism! The government struck a good deal with George III in 1763!
