@AntonyWrites It's very simply because of the short term approach to repairs. They get patched up on the cheap and come back bigger and better the following year.

@gramper78 Agree about studs up but when it's high as well I think it's fair enough. Can see why not everyone agrees though.

@MatthewBarton They probably are but my opinion is not very tackle that you show studs is dangerous, in fact I don’t even think DCL was making a tackle, he was trying to protect the ball from Clyne and in order to do so had to stretch with studs showing

That’s harsh, you can’t stretch for tackles anymore as to stretch you 95% of the time have to show studs, it’s late yes, not a red IMO #PalacevEverton

@gramper78 Don't need intent to be dangerous. I'm fine with it if it's consistent and I actually think refs are pretty consistent with this kind of tackle.

@MatthewBarton That’s probably the case but that for me is an issue of the law then, there was no intent to danger an opponent, he went over the ball to try to scoop the ball round to then travel forward with it
