@barstoolsports Knicks had more points in the paint. Sixers played hack a Mitch which resulted in 10 free throws. Embiid is the most insufferable athlete in the history of sports.

@Palmierijoe13 @StoolGreenie Tatum as well, but he clearly still wasn’t 100% attacking the rim with the same bounce he normally has or quickness in his first step. That will come with an entire offseason to rehab. Ultimately we do need either a big or faster guard that can be relied on in these instances.

Dude if the Celtics just played offense like the Knicks have been all series they would have won in 4-5 games easy. Thats why I was so furious with Joe man he was so terrible all series long. Especially once embid came back. Attack the paint when embid is out there the Knicks had like 30 layups tonight maybe more tbh. Embid can’t move. The fact the Celtics didn’t attack him every possession was criminal man. He can’t move on defense he’s too slow and too tired all the time. The Celtics and Joe let him off the hook especially in games 5-7. 100 percent. He just sat in the pain for 3 games in a town while the Celtics forced up 3 pointers or atrocious mid range shots. Especially brown. Brown just kept playing bulky ball instead of using his agility and speed and athleticism to get to the dam basket bro. Also embid and Maxey should have been involved in every single action until nurse had to pull embid bc he’s too slow. The Knicks are attacking him over and over and driving to the rim every single time he’s out there. Boston just allowed him to Chyl in the paint and rest and watch guys take bad shots. Boston had no ball movement and no player movement at all. I said that all series. When you move the ball and get the Sixers in rotation they stunk and make mistakes all the time game 1 and 4 proved it when we won by 32 both of them why is that bc we moved the ball and got AWSOME shots. Than after up 3-1 they changed there entire appearance everything was brown iso ball no passing no ball movement nothing. The Knicks are dominating the paint all series vs the Sixers.

@Palmierijoe13 @StoolGreenie Agree with your assessment. Part of our problem is personnel IMO. We don’t have a big like Towns or a guard like Brunson with the speed to take advantage of isolating Embiid. I agree brown should have the ability but didn’t use it enough in the series.

This might be recency bias or prisoner of the moment. But I think there’s a real chance Joel Embiid is on my Mount Rushmore of hated athletes. There’s a LOT of competition but goddam I hate this guy so much.

Seems a little odd that he’s that far below his averages after 8 postseason games. He probably has a legitimate point that he hasn’t been getting calls this postseason
