Imagine graduating at 21 right now… For your entire life you were told the formula was simple: Go to college, get a degree, and you’ll be set. But the ground shifted before you even stepped onto it. Entry-level work, the traditional ladder into the middle class, is being compressed by AI and automation faster than society is willing to admit. That ladder is now gone. The jobs that were supposed to be “starter opportunities” are disappearing in real time. Fine. Adapt. Then you were told the second part: Work hard, save responsibly, and you’ll afford a home. But how do you save when the currency itself is melting? In just a few years, inflation has eroded purchasing power while asset prices have surged beyond reach. Homes didn’t simply get more expensive. The dollar got weaker, and the cost of survival got repriced upward. So an entire generation is watching the goalposts move twice: Opportunity gets automated. Ownership gets inflated away. The system still speaks in the language of effort, but the reality is increasingly about positioning. The rules changed mid-game. How could you not be pissed off as a 21 year old Graduate?? You tell me…
