The ol' cliche debate again! I've caught hell from certain corners of the writing world for using the cliche "as a moth to flame" in my dark poem "Corpse-Candles" (which has seen publication more than once), but I no longer give a damn. It worked! It fit! It suited the piece!

@MatthewMCSmith I'm all for recognizing cliches, but I also believe there are certain instances when using cliches is just fine. The trick might be to know when to use them and when to discard them.
