Hydrometer is made from thin stem pipet, trim open end, scoop in some metal. Seal by warming over candle, pinch closed with pliers. Takes about 5 minutes to make! My lab handout for specific Chem Ed reference! #BeckerIsAGenius

Had fun yesterday with Bob Becker's molarity lab. Students had to prepare an assigned volume of 1.20 M NaCl solution from 2.00 M NaCl. Simple hydrometer is Becker's way to assess in real time! Red line better be on the surface of solution!
